Antisemitism is racism – by definition, and therefore anti-Semites are hateful racists.[1]
Where exactly are all the radical Marxists - Critical Race Theory (CRT) - woke-progressive so called “anti-racist” ideologies hiding? Why are they not fighting against all this rampant anti-Semitic racism this past year? Do they not actually believe their own rhetoric? Am I missing something here?
Also, there have been some other incongruent thoughts floating around this past year since the Oct. 7, 2023 invasion of the state of Israel by the terrorist group Hamas. I would like to comment on a few of them:
First, what is war?
I think many people today pretend as if they do not understand the concept of war.
There may be a line between terrorism and outright war but it is not a “fine line.”
Hamas has been attacking Israel since before 2005 when Israel moved out of Gaza and Hamas was elected to power there (that was the last election in Gaza). Hezbollah has been attacking Israel since at least 2006. However, the atrocities committed during the massive Hamas Oct. 7, 2023 invasion of the state of Israel was an intentional move by Hamas away from perpetual single acts of terrorism to a clear and undeniable event equal to a declaration of all-out war.
Both Hamas and Hezbollah have been sending missiles into Israel long before Oct. 7, 2023 but they have launched over 9000 missiles into Israel since Oct. 7, 2023. Iran has launched missiles into Israel as well. A missile or two might be conceived as terrorism by some, but 9000+ is war by anybody’s standards.
The Israelis want this ongoing terrorism and war to end. Like all people (including you) they want security and peace. To attain security and peace they must either defeat Hamas and Hezbollah or battle on until Hamas and Hezbollah surrender unconditionally and return all hostages. Otherwise Israel will have no peace; past history in the region has proven that over and over and over again.
War, one example: On Dec. 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked the US at Pearl Harbour and 2403 Americans died and 1178 were wounded. By the time the Japanese had surrendered unconditionally almost 4 years later on Sept. 2, 1945 millions of Japanese had died, mostly soldiers. However, during the last year of the war several hundreds of thousands of civilians, including women and children, also died in all the bombings of Japan that continued until Japan surrendered unconditionally. That is how war works. With all the wars in human history how is it possible that anyone could forget how war works?
It is foolish to start a war without calculating the horrifying costs first. To start a war and then insist it ends when you are losing, without surrendering or releasing hostages, is foolishness. Or hoping to win a war by counting on the thoughtless children of other nations to protest against those you committed horrific atrocities upon, still hold hostages of, and clearly state you desire to commit genocide of, is not a war winning strategy in the real world; and most certainly not against the IDF.
Secondly, what is a Nazi?
The acronym for German National Socialist Party in power in Germany from 1933 to 1945 was Nazi. It was a real and specific political party. Not all anti-Semites were Nazis but all committed German Nazis were certainly anti-Semites. Real Nazis attempted to commit genocide of all Jewish people; that attempt of the genocide of all the Jews is called the Holocaust. This past year some have called Jewish folks Nazis which is merely a grand display of either a high degree of ignorance or of absolute thoughtlessness. Israel is a multi-ethnic democratic nation where people from all over the world have immigrated to; while many are not Jewish most are. Nazis were anti-Semitic Jew haters so calling Israelis Nazis is highly incongruent and an impossibility logically.
Thirdly, “gays for Gaza?”
Again, this is merely a grand display of either a high degree of ignorance or of absolute thoughtlessness. Islam absolutely prohibits homosexuality and Hamas kills gays, as in dead - period. What could you possibly be thinking?[2] This is another indiscriminate application of the overly simplistic and reductionist Marxist-socialist dichotomy of “oppressor and oppressed,” which yet again exposes the utter foolishness of Marxist-socialist ideology.
Fourthly, the two state solution.
So why not a two state solution? The UN did plan for 2 states in the 1948 resolution that created Israel but the Arabs rejected it completely. If a two state solution was acceptable to Arabs today the second state could be like, say Gaza, only bigger. Unfortunately, Gaza has been an unmitigated disaster for Israel’s safety, security and peace; not to mention a disaster for the average Arab person living in Gaza as all the resources went to tunnels, missiles and hatred. Hamas, Hezbollah and their Iranian controllers do not want a two state solution either. They have repeatedly said so. For one example of this just read Hamas’s charter (see the footnote).[3] What they want is to commit a complete genocide of Jewish Israelis. They have stated so over and over. The atrocities of the Oct. 7, 2023 invasion of the state of Israel by Hamas and the 9000+ missiles launched at Israel this year by Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran is all the proof we need to believe them, and what they have said about wanting to commit genocide against Israel. To support Hamas, Hezbollah and their Iranian controllers is to support genocide of the Jewish people. So, do you support the genocide of the Jewish people?
We need to challenge the toxic and foolish ideologies behind all this destruction, hate, death and suffering since the Oct. 7, 2023 invasion of the state of Israel by Hamas; regardless of whether the toxic ideologies come from Iran Shia sponsored terrorists or from radical leftist ideologues.
We need to push back on anti-Semitic racism is all its forms every time it crops up; as we should with all other forms of racism. Those who do not speak up have already spoken; neutrality is a myth. Let us not repeat the failures of the general public and people of Germany in the 1930’s. Let us learn from them instead.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. – a phrase attributed to Edmond Burke. I would add “or to say nothing” to the quote.
What has been clearly shown this year by Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and many leftist ideologues is the sinful brokenness of all of humanity. Humanity is clearly not marching towards some imaginary Marxist-socialist utopia. Humanity may have amazing technology today but we still struggle with sinful hearts, pride, greed and the desire for power as we always have. This is the perpetual problem of sinful human nature. The proof of this reality is all around us and it is why we still have and need the rule of law (good laws), domestic police and armies.
The world desperately needs the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Globally all people need to confess and repent of personal sins and hatred, and to turn to Christ for forgiveness and healing. We change this world for the better by each of us living out Christ’s compassion, truth, justice and love toward each other. That means showing Christ’s love towards others while always standing for Christ’s truth and justice, because Christ’s truth and justice also displays Christ’s love. Christ’s truth, justice and love are inseparable.
We are each called to do the best we can but Jesus is the Way and our only real hope.
John 14:6 (ESV)
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
My summary of the Gospel of the Gospel of Jesus Christ:
Everything has been created by the one True and living God; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is separate from what He created. God also created mankind differently; He created humans in the image of God, His image. We have a soul, and we have the capacity for love, compassion, creativity and to recognise beauty and righteousness. We are meant to be in relationship with God. However, the first humans Adam and Eve rebelled against God. Before their rebellion they had known only good, but after their rebellion they knew both good and evil and began to choose and to define good and evil on their own terms, not God’s. Their rebellion separated them and their descendants, all of us, from God. Each of us has done the same today. Yet God in His lovingkindness and compassion had a plan to restore our relationship with Him through an act of self-sacrifice for us. The Son of the Holy Trinity, Jesus Christ, redeemed us by taking on all our sin and unrighteousness upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. He rose again from the dead Easter morning demonstrating to us that He has absolute power over evil and death, and as a promise of everlasting life to each of us that surrenders our hearts to Jesus by putting our love, trust and faith in Him; when we acknowledge our sin against our perfect and righteous God and then repent of that sin asking God for His forgiveness. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and His Word (Holy Scripture – the Bible) Christ promises to forgive, heal, sanctify and transform His believers into becoming more like Him in this life, as we look forward to a blessed eternity with Him in the next life. Jesus Christ our Lord allows trials and struggles in our lives so that He can use them to help us grow in trust, faith and love for Him as we learn to lean into Him to overcome the suffering of this world and become His ambassadors in this life. Our purpose in life is to be passionately in love with Christ and to follow Him, making Jesus my Lord and Saviour.
Here are some interesting insights and comments on this latest year-long Hamas, Iran and Hezbollah war against Israel:

[3] In the Hamas covenant preamble it is stated that the goal is to “obliterate Israel, “and there is more in the covenant. From the 8th paragraph: Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious. (note: not Israel but Jews); in Article 7: The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews - killing the Jews; Hamas even call Jews “Nazis” which is confusing if one actually knows some history (Article 31, 32): https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp
